Ada Claire Sullivan passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025 at 85 years old. She had suffered a stroke a few days before and was placed in hospice care where she died.

As most of you know, Ada was a kind and beautiful soul, a smart lady, retired teacher, a generous woman and loving friend, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Her 1st husband George was an Air Force pilot who died when he went missing doing training flights over the North Sea. They had 3 sons together. Friends later introduced her to another Air Force pilot named Dwight “Sully” Sullivan when they both were living in Texas. Sully had been a POW in Viet Nam for 5-1/2 years. They shared his 5 children and her 3 sons. They were a very special couple.

Ada was a WVGS Past President. For many years, she organized and donated items for the raffle sale at every WVGS membership meeting. She also donated the $50 rental fee each month/$450 annually to the church for several years. She was a past president and a very active member of the charitable organization called PEO that raised money for girls to go to college.
