  • More than 20,000 Books, CDs, Periodicals, Maps, Microfilm, Microfiche and Online access including Ancestry.com and AmericanAncestors.org (New England Historic Genealogical Society). Our shelves are filled with materials covering all 50 States and many Countries.

Subscriber Databases

  • WVGS Membership includes access to several prominent genealogy databases. Using the computers in our lab provides free access to millions of images of original records from all over the world. In addition, Membership includes remote access from home to:

    2. Fold3
    3. Newspapers.com (World Collection)
    4. MyHeritage.com (Includes all of the former World Vital Records info)
    5. American Ancestors (New England Historic Genealogical Society) In Library Only
    6. FamilySearch.org (WVGS has an affiliate partnership)
    7. Access to over 61,000 issues of genealogical periodicals that are searchable by word and downloadable
    8. Access to over 20,000 pages with obituaries (4 to 10 obits per page)
    9. Access to over 1500 other digitized genealogical documents that are downloadable

If purchased separately the external databases would cost well over $500.
