DNA Kindergarten - March 2023
DNA Kindergarten - March 2023
For those who are considering testing or have tested at any of the DNA testing companies and are wondering where to start, this is a beginner’s class that even those who think they’ve figured it out will enjoy. The class curriculum emphasizes learning in different ways: visual, audial, tactile and theoretical. You’ll have the chance to play with learning tools, test your smarts and we might even have nap time! Bring your questions about those teeny pieces of DNA and how they get in your family tree.

Designing a Family Tree Graphic - February 2023
Designing a Family Tree Graphic - February 2023
A picture is worth a thousand words. What better way to share the infomation you’ve accumulated on your family’s ancestry than to provide easy to understand, professional looking graphics? Don’t feel very artistic? Well, there’s an app for all that! Yes, there are programs that create cartoonish looking family trees, but I will show you how to easily construct your personalized family tree using only the PROCREATE app on an Apple tablet. (Sorry, it’s not available for computers or Android tablets!). To learn how this app works, just bring your iPad with the Procreate app already loaded from the app store and a brief sketch of a small portion of your family tree, about two to four generations and less than 15 people will work.
