Sandy Turner and Stewart Porter – March 2023
Sandy is the church secretary – we arrange the contract through her each year, tell her when we need more tables, get her certificates of insurance, ask questions (especially new Presidents who haven’t ever presided at a meeting there before), and she is invariably gracious and patient. She even directs lost visitors to the right place.
Stewart is the church’s IT guy. He runs the cameras, microphones and slides for us, gets the stepstools out for the shortest of us, finds the hand microphones, and adjusts the sound. He listens to us go on and on about genealogy and always smiles.
Sandy and Stewart are volunteers, too, and so we thought a special Volunteer Appreciation Award was long overdue. Say thank you to both of them next time you see them around the church.
